As soon as they walked into the classroom, their faces lit up with joy. They immediately went over to the chairs, touching them and eagerly choosing where to sit. One student exclaimed, \"I love the colors, I can't decide which one I like best!\" That moment truly captured how special this experience was for them.\r\n\r\nWe use these chairs every day during whole group lessons, small-group instruction, and independent work. They have become an important part of our learning environment. During a recent lesson, I noticed how students were more engaged and comfortable as they sat together discussing their thinking and working collaboratively. The flexible and inviting seating has helped create a more positive and focused classroom atmosphere.\r\n\r\nHaving brand new chairs has made my students feel valued and proud of their classroom. It has also encouraged a greater sense of ownership and respect for our learning space. Students are more excited to come to class, and that enthusiasm carries over into their learning.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, my goal is to continue building a classroom environment where students feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn. We will keep using our seating during small-group work, partner discussions, and hands-on activities that promote collaboration and engagement. Additionally, the agency of choosing different ways to build, whether it be by duct tape and which color or by using plastic screws, was very empowering. Another clear impact was the improved fine motor skill and concentration for our young learners as they focus on using the building kit (screws and screw drivers) in safe ways. The twinkle in their eyes when they are successful in attaching two pieces of cardboard together was priceless!
