You were generous enough to donate supplies for them to make sock snowmen to go along with the author study we did on Carolyn Buehner Snowmen books. They made their own snowman that could last all year and then they wrote about what they would do if their snowman came to life as in the books. Also, since we are in the desert we made craft stick glitter snowflakes, to reflect the change in season to winter. The craft sticks were also used to make picture frames, and several holiday related projects. My students also used the beads to count to 100 and then turned it into a necklace. Every time they get to make a project using supplies that you funded, they tell me that it is the best day ever! When students first saw the materials, they were excited and eager to use them—especially the colorful supplies and interactive tools—which immediately increased participation and enthusiasm.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment has been during our after-school math tutoring program, where students use the whiteboard sleeves for math games designed to support the development of math fact fluency.
