Like others, my students have been affected during this pandemic. Their academic as well as social-emotional skills have suffered. They struggle to interact with each other and make friends. Having playground equipment that can be used, while still maintaining social distancing protocols, will help immensely. The science materials in my project will help my students engage in fun activities that align to our third grade science standards. Our chromebook charging station will house our required student chromebooks during this time and make our classroom run more efficiently. Lastly, due to past distance learning, many of my classroom library books have taken up permanent residence in my previous student's homes, thus decreasing available books for my current students to read. The chosen books will engage eager readers. Some of the standards covered are: 3.RL.1, 3LS-4.1, 3-5_ETS1_3, SS.3.26 and SS.3.27, and 4.IC.3.1.
