And the Bluetooth speaker? An absolute lifesaver. Thanks to your support, we successfully launched our community science project mapping the urban wildlife corridor from the Oquirrh foothills right down to our high school campus, and this gear was exactly what we needed to pull it off.\r\n\r\nMy student survey teams set up the Browning trail cameras and SD cards to catch local wildlife in action. They got to predict animal paths, deploy the gear, and collect actual field data without disturbing the habitats. Since we had to leave these cameras outside, keeping them safe was a huge priority. The heavy-duty security boxes and cable locks made sure our equipment didn't wander off or get ruined by the weather, which allowed us to keep securely collecting footage all season long.\r\n\r\nWhen it came time to review our findings, the SD card readers gave us that instant gratification. Students plugged these readers right into their devices to check their footage on the spot, uploading and analyzing data fresh from the field.\r\n\r\nBy supporting this project, you gave my students the chance to be real scientists. Removing this barrier to entry allows more athletes to participate in a sport that allows them to grow and learn so much. \r\n\r\nWhere are we headed this season? We are stepping into the final season for our first freshman class of athletes! Having enough gardening gloves for everyone means that every single student can safely get their hands dirty without hesitation.\r\n\r\nOut in the garden, the heavy-duty cultivators have been essential. She had never read before in her life. I've been teaching her to read for three years now starting with the very basics. Now, she comes after school to read with me on Tuesdays. This is a book she took home and has already read half-way through. She loves the book. Her comment was \"He is a very good teacher, just like you are a very good teacher.\" This warmed my heart. She is now reading on the 9th grade level as an 11th grader. This is amazing progress for only three years reading in any language. \r\n\r\nThis year, my principal said we couldn't afford books for my grade-level due to cutbacks.
