By using a variety of primary source replicas, students will have the opportunity to see history from a visual and hands on approach. I have found in my 15 years of teaching that a hands-on approach with reproductions and true to life elements keeps students engaged and learning with whatever content we are discovering together. As much as I love the streamlining of all the digital resources available to me as a teacher, I have found that I much more student engagement when they have tangible items in front of them.
