Your generosity has provided our students with meaningful resources that are helping us bring kindness, empathy, and community-building to life in our classroom and throughout our school. We are used these materials to support activities and projects focused on recognizing acts of kindness, encouraging positive peer interactions, and creating a more welcoming environment for everyone. One special moment was seeing students work together to create kindness messages on rocks for our local VA. \r\n\r\nWhen the student council members first saws the new materials, they were excited and eager to begin. They immediately started sharing ideas about how they could use the resources to spread kindness to classmates, teachers, and staff. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it was wonderful to see how motivated they were to participate and facilitate Kindness Week. The materials helped make Kindness Week feel extra special and gave students a hands-on way to connect with the important lessons we are learning about empathy, respect, and inclusion.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, our next steps are to continue building on these lessons by having students apply what they have learned in daily classroom activities and school-wide projects. We plan to encourage students to reflect on their acts of kindness, set goals for how they can continue showing compassion, and look for ways to make kindness a lasting part of our school culture beyond just one week. Thank you again for your generous support and for giving our students the opportunity to learn, grow, and make a positive impact in our school community.","fullyFundedDate":1771968259954,"projectUrl":"project/kindness-week/10099863/","projectTitle":"Kindness Week!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Campbell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp152426_orig.jpg?crop=640,640,x0,y81&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755460795472","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/shellyokc72"},{"teacherId":176631,"projectId":10099872,"letterContent":"We are so grateful to our donors for providing funding for our project! In hip hop, what you wear really affects how you move and perform, and I saw an immediate difference when they put them on. They felt more confident, more connected, and honestly just cooler. It helped them step into the style and take ownership of the choreography in a way they hadn't before. It also created a sense of unity, everyone looked the same, felt the same, and showed up as a team. For some of my students, having something like that provided for them meant a lot. It took away any stress about what to wear and made sure everyone felt included and prepared.\r\n\r\nEven after the performance, the hoodies have continued to mean something. My students wear them around school all the time, and you can tell they're proud to be part of the dance program. It's helped build visibility for what we do and has created a stronger sense of community on campus.\r\n\r\nThe snacks were just as important, honestly. A lot of my students come to dance after a full school day, and some don't always have access to food before practice. Having snacks available made a big difference in their energy and focus. Instead of being distracted or tired, they were able to stay engaged and give their full effort during rehearsals.\r\n\r\nIt also showed them that someone cares about them, not just as dancers, but as people. That kind of support matters more than people realize. It helped create a positive environment where students felt taken care of and motivated to do their best.\r\n\r\nOverall, this project supported my students both artistically and personally. It helped them perform with more confidence, feel more connected as a team, and simply have what they needed to show up and be successful.
