This year I am teaching two English I Enhancement classes. All of the students in these classes are low level readers, some having a 2nd grade Lexile Level. With the use of headphones, my students will have the ability to fully utilize online programs that have been purchased for our school. We have some amazing online reading programs that are customized to each individual student's Lexile Level. Unfortunately, these programs can not be fully utilized without access to headphones. Our programs give students the capability of having vocabulary words pronounced and defined for them, as well as difficult texts read aloud. Many lessons also include a video segment, however, I can not turn these features on without the use of headphones.
