When the students first saw the new materials, they were immediately excited and curious! Several students went straight to the toys they recognized, while others explored the new sensory and cause-and-effect toys. Their excitement created natural opportunities for communication as they pointed, reached, made requests, and shared their discoveries with teachers and classmates.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to expand these play activities into more structured peer interactions. We are working on helping students take turns, share enjoyment, imitate play actions, and use words, gestures, or communication systems to express what they want. We will continue building short play routines that encourage students to interact with one another while practicing communication and problem-solving skills.\r\n\r\nIt has been wonderful to see our students experience joy while learning important skills.
