The spinning chair, noise-canceling headphones, and caterpillar lycra tunnel have quickly become favorites, providing the sensory input they need to feel grounded. The addition of string lights has helped create a warm, comforting atmosphere that supports regulation and focus.\r\n\r\nWhen students first walked in and saw the new materials, they had the biggest smiles. The spinning chair and sensory tent are often the first things they go to when they enter the room. Inside our sensory tent, we've created a safe, calming space filled with white noise, soft lights, and weighted blankets. This area allows students to take a break from the structure and demands of the school day, helping them regulate and recharge so they can return to classroom activities ready to learn.\r\n\r\nOur next steps involve continuing to build our therapy space with more sensory tools, toys, and activities that support our students' skill development.
