The majority of our students qualify for free meals. They are at risk and in need of enrichment in math, science, language arts, social studies, writing, and technology. It can be very difficult to engage children in learning; even more so in the lower-income communities where our children are at a disadvantage when it comes to internet access. According to the Daily News, about 37% of Bronxites reported not having a computer at home, compared to the other boroughs.
