People walk by or come into the room, and notice the warm feelings provided by the student-friendly items. Some stay to chat a moment as they touch the soft plushies and say how much of a good feeling they get when they walk in the room. When students need time to break from a hectic moment, or a difficult day, they come to play a game, put together a puzzle, or snuggle with an animal which allows them that moment to stop, breathe, reset, and get back to their regularly scheduled program in the classroom.
