Words cannot express how deeply appreciative we are that Donors Choose participants chose to support the students at Van Gorder ES. The students, staff and families at my school continue to benefit from the items that Donors Choose partners have blessed us with. People walk by or come into the room, and notice the warm feelings provided by the student-friendly items. Some stay to chat a moment as they touch the soft plushies and say how much of a good feeling they get when they walk in the room. When students need time to break from a hectic moment, or a difficult day, they come to play a game, put together a puzzle, or snuggle with an animal which allows them that moment to stop, breathe, reset, and get back to their regularly scheduled program in the classroom.
