These resources will help my students spread the word around our school campus about the need to reduce waste and recycle. The vests and trash grabbers will be used by students daily after outside lunch and recess. My students often see trash blowing around our campus. We learned that the Truckee Meadows Watershed needs to be protected from pollution. The garden plant tags will be added to our newly created Native Nevada Mindfulness Garden and will be a beautiful place for students to connect with nature and practice self-regulation techniques. The printer ink will help us be able to print our writing in our classroom printer and the air dry clay will be used to make Nevada ornaments for Christmas. By picking up trash and encouraging our students to reduce, reuse and recycle; we are Watershed and Waste Warriors!! 4-ESS3-1. Next Gen Science Standards - Students will obtain and combine information to describe that energy and fuels are derived from natural resources and their uses affect the environment. SEL Standards - Students will identify and regulate their emotions
