This year I will be teaching students at the lower functioning side of the Autism Spectrum. I already have everything designed in my mind as to how my room will look like. I'm going to have a center-based classroom but would need a few supplies to complete my project. The new area rug will be my classroom's commonplace for small group activities and morning routine. This will be located at the center of my classroom. Having a colorful carpet will help my students identify a designated center for specific tasks. Your donation will help my students increase focus, have fun and make learning become more meaningful to them. The headphones with jack will be located in my listening center to accommodate 2-3 kids at a time. This is very important for my students to ​learn to listen patiently, properly use and appreciate books....soon to be able to read books.
