All of my rewards, including rewards I purchased with my own funds are being stored in the containers! \r\n\r\nI teach and give quizzes dealing with anti-bullying, anti-racism, and mental health in my homeroom class and I use scantron sheets. I use the Zipgrade app on my phone to scan and grade the scantron answer sheets. The iPhone charger for my desk enables me to do this! Now I can quickly scan/grade the papers using my iPhone and give quick feedback to the students!\r\n\r\nMy students reacted with great excitement when they saw the materials!\r\n\r\nThe book was added to my class library of books. The next step for my project is that students students will create posters for this project and be awarded free reading time when they show anti-bullying behavior and anti-racist behavior. The bulletin board decoration set creates a perfect learning environment for those topics. I apologize that my impact letter is a little overdue, but that has given us plenty of time to put these wonderful materials to use and see the difference they are making.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when the new materials arrived! In speech therapy, keeping students engaged while providing the repetition they need to build communication skills can sometimes be a challenge. Having new speech cards, language activities, and communication materials immediately gave us fresh and fun ways to work toward their goals.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite things about these resources is how easily I can adapt them for different students. A set of picture cards might be used by one student to practice a difficult speech sound, while another student uses those same pictures to describe an item, formulate a complete sentence, answer questions, or tell a short story. For my students who are nonverbal or have limited verbal communication, the visual and communication supports give them additional ways to make choices, participate in activities, and most importantly, communicate what they want to say. It has been especially rewarding to watch students choose a new activity from the shelf and then become so involved in it that they don't realize how much \"work\" they are actually doing! Those are some of my favorite therapy moments.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building on these skills and helping students use what they practice in speech therapy beyond the speech room. Producing a sound correctly, answering a question, creating a sentence, or communicating a message during therapy is an important first step; ultimately, I want my students to carry those skills into their classrooms, conversations with friends and family, and everyday lives.\r\nThank you for giving my students more opportunities to practice, learn, communicate, and experience success. This included students who forgot their calculator, lost their calculator, or have never had their own calculator to use in the classroom. Students find it easier to use a personal calculator compared to any online version.\r\n\r\nFurther, when the students in 11th Grade needed to complete their ACT testing, this calculator was permitted for use. 8 students who would have otherwise needed to complete this test without a personal calculator were able to use one of these calculators. This allowed them to perform calculations faster than the online calculator included in the test.
