I teach special education for grades prekindergarten, third grade, and fourth grade. My students manly struggle with academics, and I few struggle with behavioral problems in the forms of attention or focus, fidgeting, or social skills. I recently had the blessing that one of my students is picking up on social accepts of my teaching. When one of my students becomes frustrated or overly excited I tell them calm body. I have taught them to have a calm body, still with hands folded to prepare for learning. Today I attempted to redirect one of my students through a distance learning chat, he replied by telling me "all right just clam your body down." The tools I will be getting for learning will be used to help focus, manipulatives to help in math, and some fine motor skills to help my prekindergarten students. I will be using the fidget tools such as the putty to help my students who struggle with focus and or stress. The mobile desk and document reader will allow me to better teach during distance learning and enable me to move a learning station to my students.
