With the materials and instruments requested we will be able to accomplish the standard MU:Pr6.1.HSI about performing with expression and technical accuracy in individual performances of a varied repertoire of music that includes melodies, repertoire pieces, and chordal accompaniments, demonstrating understanding of the audience and the context. The students are very exited about participating in a group, combining efforts and collaborating to create an event that will enrich their lives and strengthen our school community. Being part of a band has created not only a bond among all my students, is very fulfilling to watch students from different backgrounds coming together to create something that is enriching their lives: music!
