I did not inform the students about setting up the DonorsChoose project because many of them aren't funded, and I didn't want to raise their hopes unnecessarily. So, when the students saw all of these huge boxes in my room, they were so excited to see them. It was like Christmas morning for them as they opened up those boxes and found all the colorful stools that we would be able to use in the different centers of the room.
