They chose a book about emotions, sat with a pillow, and after a short break were able to return to the lesson calm and ready to participate again.\r\n\r\nAs we continue building social-emotional skills in our classroom, the calming corner will remain an important part of our daily routine. Students are learning how to recognize their emotions and practice strategies that help them regulate and return to learning.
