This summer I attended UCLA's Mathmatics Project series on Cognitively Guided Instruction in Math. I was so excited to begin Choral Counting and Number Talks. My school does not provide chart paper so our "thinking" has to be erased immediately. I have tried using bulletin board paper but having to cut it and then tape it flat and then remove it and post it elswhere. This is not only wastfuI but also wastes precious instructional minutes. I would love to post our work together and also preserve it to build upon. I know a couple of my colleagues face the same challenges in implementing the great strategies we acquired. What good is improving one's practice if one cannot practically apply it?
