I have been using the anchor chart paper to create colorful, easy-to-read posters that support our current lessons in reading, writing, and math, giving students a reference tool they can use independently throughout the day. During a recent writing lesson, students eagerly used the sentence starters and editing reminders from our anchor charts to improve their work, and it was exciting to see them confidently referring to the posters without needing extra help. When the students first saw the new materials, they were thrilled and immediately noticed how bright and helpful the charts were, and they were especially excited about the incentive prizes for positive behavior. The prizes have already helped motivate students to make responsible choices and work together respectfully. Next, we will continue adding new anchor charts as we begin upcoming units so students can build their learning toolkit all year long while working toward classroom goals and earning rewards for their hard work.","fullyFundedDate":1769177562267,"projectUrl":"project/incentives-and-supplies/10010573/","projectTitle":"Incentives and Supplies!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hill","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10402363"},{"teacherId":9610886,"projectId":10019797,"letterContent":"My students were beyond excited when they first saw the new materials arrive in our classroom. Their faces lit up as I introduced the markers, crayons, math manipulatives, dry erase pockets, reading resources, and prizes. They immediately wanted to explore everything and could not wait to start learning with them. Their enthusiasm reminded me how powerful new, engaging tools can be for young learners.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the resources every day during our literacy and math centers. One special moment was during our CVC word practice. Students used the dry erase pockets to build and write words like cat, dog, and pig. They were sounding out each letter, blending the sounds together, and proudly reading the words aloud. Because they could erase and try again, students felt confident taking risks and practicing independently. It was amazing to watch students.\r\n\r\nIn math, the manipulatives have made a huge difference as students count, sort, and compare numbers in hands-on ways. Instead of just hearing about numbers, they can touch and move objects to truly understand the concepts. The prizes that were ordered have also been a wonderful motivator, encouraging students to stay focused, work hard, and celebrate their effort, perseverance, and growth.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue using these resources as we work on beginning sentence writing, more advanced word families, and addition within 20. Students will use the crayons and markers to illustrate and write their ideas, while continuing to build confidence in reading and math. Thank you for giving my kindergarteners tools that make learning exciting, meaningful, and full of joy.","fullyFundedDate":1768753443417,"projectUrl":"project/ms-cs-kinders/10019797/","projectTitle":"Ms. C.'s Kinders","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cruz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9610886"},{"teacherId":8127580,"projectId":10034069,"letterContent":"I want to take the time to thank you for your donation towards the items that were purchased for my students. The soft illumination creates a calming yet stimulating space that encourages exploration and sustained attention, particularly for students who benefit from sensory-rich learning experiences. It has become a valuable tool for supporting a wide range of learning styles, helping students better visualize concepts and stay actively involved in hands-on activities.\r\n\r\nStudents have been using the light cube and manipulatives in creative and purposeful ways across multiple subject areas. In literacy, they build letters and practice word formation using translucent shapes, strengthening both fine motor skills and letter recognition. In math, they sort, pattern, and count using colorful manipulatives, deepening their understanding of foundational concepts. The tablets have introduced an engaging and interactive element to our classroom that has enhanced both participation and motivation. Students are consistently eager to use them and often look forward to the times in our schedule when they can incorporate these tools into their learning routines.\r\n\r\nOne of the most significant advantages of the tablets has been the wide variety of educational applications now available to support instruction. In language arts, students have been able to access interactive games that reinforce foundational skills such as letter recognition, phonics, vocabulary development, and early reading comprehension. These activities provide immediate feedback, allowing students to learn from mistakes and build confidence as they progress. The interactive nature of these programs keeps students actively engaged, which has been especially beneficial for those who may struggle with more traditional instructional methods.\r\n\r\nIn mathematics, the tablets have provided access to a range of games and activities that strengthen number sense, counting, basic operations, and problem-solving skills. Students are able to practice these concepts in a fun and supportive environment, often without realizing how much they are learning because the experience feels like play. The ability to differentiate instruction through these apps has also been invaluable, as students can work at their own pace and at levels that meet their individual needs.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the tablets have supported the development of fine motor skills through drawing and tracing applications. These activities allow students to practice hand-eye coordination, control, and precision in a way that is both enjoyable and purposeful. For many students, especially those who need extra support in this area, the digital format reduces frustration and encourages repeated practice, leading to noticeable improvement over time.\r\n\r\nOverall, all of my students have shown a high level of interest and enjoyment when using the tablets. They are more engaged during lessons, demonstrate increased independence, and show a willingness to explore new concepts. Many students have also demonstrated growth in their academic skills, as well as increased confidence in their abilities. The tablets have become a valuable tool in supporting diverse learning styles and needs within the classroom.\r\n\r\nIn conclusion, the addition of these tablets has had a meaningful and positive impact on student learning. They have expanded access to high-quality educational resources, supported skill development across multiple subject areas, and created a more dynamic and inclusive learning environment. My students continue to thrive with these new supports, and the benefits of this technology are clearly reflected in both their engagement and their progress.","fullyFundedDate":1768012244110,"projectUrl":"project/technology-help/9988309/","projectTitle":"Technology Help","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Stefano","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10398421"},{"teacherId":2821764,"projectId":9989900,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity in funding our new chapter books. Instead of feeling confined to one space, students now have the freedom to move around the room and find the place where they feel most comfortable and successful. For many of my students—especially those with disabilities—this has been incredibly empowering. They are beginning to understand how they learn best and are gaining the confidence to advocate for what they need to succeed.\r\n\r\nFlexible seating has given students a sense of ownership over their learning. They are making thoughtful choices about where they work best, whether that's a quiet corner, a collaborative table, or a space where they can move while they think. Watching them recognize their own needs and speak up for themselves has been one of the most powerful outcomes of this project.\r\n\r\nThe hands-on materials have also made a tremendous difference. Many of my students struggle when concepts are taught only in abstract ways. Being able to touch, build, and interact with materials allows them to make meaningful connections to what they are learning. Concepts that once felt confusing are now becoming clear, and students are more engaged, confident, and excited to participate.\r\n\r\nBecause of this project, my students are not just learning academic skills—they are learning about themselves as learners, building independence, and discovering that they are capable of success.","fullyFundedDate":1768176802030,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning-with-flexible-seating/10002869/","projectTitle":"Hands-on Learning with Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sandelin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8404809_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1649346681892","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8404809"},{"teacherId":7152621,"projectId":10002813,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom and helping us add new books to our library.
