These four tablets will be used during student center time. They will be loaded with apps that will address specific skill deficits that my students have. Students will be engaged without realizing they are building important skills. Reading apps will address deficits in phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, and sight words. All of these areas work together to develop competent and engaged students. As students improve in their skills, they will be much closer to being life long readers. Math apps will address deficits with number sense, basic addition and subtraction, and geometry. Students will enjoy working and playing games as they develop important skills. Students who are proficient in these areas will continue to grow into math wizards!
