I wanted to reach out and express my sincere gratitude for the incredible contribution you made to my class.\r\nThe supplies have already made a significant impact on our daily activities. We are now able to use the magnetic fractions on the whiteboard during our math lessons. It is wonderful to see students come up and show their classmates models of fractions while explaining how to get an answer or solve a problem. It has been a tremendous help to all the students as they visualize these concepts together.\r\nAlong with the fractions, we are putting the mesh bags and magnetic hooks to excellent use! They are helping us store and organize math and science equipment, headphones for computers, and so much more. This new organization is really helping my students develop better habits and spend more time learning and less time searching for materials.\r\nYour generosity has provided us with valuable tools that enhance our learning environment every day.\r\nThank you again for your support!","fullyFundedDate":1757864760653,"projectUrl":"project/math-help/9511099/","projectTitle":"Math Help","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Johns","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6762243"},{"teacherId":10016864,"projectId":9322517,"letterContent":"As a school nurse, it is my job to provide efficient care that returns our students to learning quickly. I saw a need for a ready supply of clean clothes to get my students back to class faster. Waiting for a parent to bring a change of clothes was taking a half hour to an hours out of our students instructional day.\r\n Your generous donation of clothing has prevented the loss of hours of instructional time in every subject for many students! Teachers were able to print colorful charts, graphs, and manipulatives that clearly highlighted patterns and relationships. For example, fraction strips in different colors helped students compare sizes and understand equivalency, while color-coded place value charts made it easier to see the role of each digit. These visual supports reduced confusion, allowing students to focus on problem-solving rather than struggling to interpret black-and-white diagrams.\r\n\r\nStudents were also more motivated and excited about their math work when they received colorful materials. Bright, organized math centers and worksheets captured their attention and encouraged active participation. Seeing their own work printed in color—such as bar graphs they created during a data project—gave students a sense of pride and ownership over their learning. This boost in engagement led to more meaningful discussions about math and improved overall confidence in the subject.","fullyFundedDate":1709219475294,"projectUrl":"project/bring-color-into-math/8246957/","projectTitle":"Bring Color Into Math","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Flagg","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6627404"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_75240","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":587,"numTeachers":42,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":20,"percentWhite":14,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":49,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":56.8,"schoolId":75240,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Eva G Simmons Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Eva G Simmons Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/nevada/clark-county-school-district/eva-g-simmons-elementary-school/75240"}
