Palacio.\r\n\r\nAs an ELA teacher, my biggest goal is to find that one book that turns a reluctant reader into a book lover. Thanks to you, Wonder was that book for so many of my students. The engagement during this unit was unlike anything I have seen all year. Students were begging to read \"just one more chapter\" before the bell rang!\r\n\r\nBeyond the engagement, the lessons on compassion and acceptance have transformed our classroom culture. We analyzed the different perspectives in the book to understand that there are always two sides to every story.\r\n\r\nYour gift provided the tool we needed to become better readers and, more importantly, better human beings.
