I chose materials that will allow my students to showcase their knowledge and understanding during lessons, collaborate with their peers and work out problems in different ways. The whiteboards, dry erase coordinate grids and supplies to go with them will be used in various lessons to address a multitude of standards. Some of these standards include, CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.6.NS.C.6.C, CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.6.NS.C.8, CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.6.EE.A.2, and CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.6.G.A.3. The multiplication flash cards will be used by students both in the classroom and, for those who need extra practice, at home. I have found that many of my students struggle with their facts and I think this will be a huge help in building their foundational knowledge. The final item I have chosen for my project is a standing desk. I want to try out some flexible seating options for my students who struggle in the standard desks.
