One of the students' favorite parts is the Matchbook Summary project we're working on. For each chapter, they create these tiny, foldable matchbooks with a custom illustration on the front and a quote on the inside. It's been a fantastic way to get them excited about the skill of summarizing, and they are really proud of the collection they are building.\r\n\r\nThe impact has been especially noticeable for some of my more reluctant readers who are finally feeling a real connection to a protagonist.
