Students are back in school and it's time to get them moving! Nevada Academic Content Standard 3.0 says students should participate regularly in physical activity. To modivate my students to participate daily in PE class, I teach a variety of different sports units. New equipment from this project would allow me to teach the team sport of lacrosse. Physical activity is essential to a student's current and future health. It reduces the risk of chronic diseases including cardiovascular disease, cancer, overweight, and type 2 diabetes. Many students became sedentary during the last year and a half of online distance education. Providing students with a variety of physical activities encourages them to be physically active again. Schools provide opportunities for all students to become physically educated and enjoy moving. Students benefit socially from physical activities as well. It provides them an opportunity to develop and practice teamwork and sportsmanship skills. Please help modivate my students to participate in PE with a donation that will help add lacrosse to our PE curriculum. Thank You!!!
