Two different literature books for novel studies as a class will allow students (even at home) to participate and learn about perspectives from other cultures and explore SEL themes. RL 5.6 for the books. We do not have a social studies or science curriculum. These resources will allow my students to explore real world news and situations and make the learning interactive and increase their interests in these fields. Standards for science: 5-ESS1-1 Earth's Place in the Universe, 5-ESS2-1 Earth's Systems Social studies: SS.5.12. SS.5.18 SS.5.20 Through the news and brainpop, many more standards can be covered as well.
