Because of your generosity, my students have been able to go beyond just reading about emergency care and actually practice it. We've been using the supplies in hands-on activities where students respond to real-life scenarios, like treating cuts, handling sprains, and thinking through what to do in a medical emergency. One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students work through a mock situation together—they were talking each other through the steps, checking for safety, and applying what they had learned with such focus and care. It was clear they understood how important these skills really are.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement in the room was immediate. Students were curious, asking questions, and eager to try everything out. Many of them mentioned that they had never learned these kinds of practical skills before, and it made the experience feel even more meaningful. What really stood out to me was how seriously they approached it—they weren't just \"playing\" with the materials, they were thinking about how they could actually help someone in real life, especially people they care about.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we're building on these skills by working through more detailed scenarios and giving students the chance to take the lead. They'll be creating their own emergency response situations and practicing how to stay calm, think clearly, and act responsibly. Your support has made a lasting difference in our classroom, giving students confidence and knowledge they can carry with them anywhere. Thank you again for making this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1771651205129,"projectUrl":"project/practical-first-aid-skills/10106917/","projectTitle":"Practical First Aid Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Allred","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7457486"},{"teacherId":7941480,"projectId":10107333,"letterContent":"This project has made an immediate impact on both student engagement and classroom culture. In a high-pressure environment like Trigonometry and AP Calculus, these resources provide students with meaningful ways to reset while still developing critical thinking skills. The logic games, puzzles, and building materials encourage problem-solving in a low-stakes setting, which translates into greater confidence when approaching complex math concepts.\r\n\r\nThe Apple TV has allowed me to present lessons more dynamically, share student work instantly, and make abstract ideas more visual and accessible. Students have been especially excited about the variety of hands-on tools. A handful have explored the music equipment, experimenting with creating loops and simple songs, while others have enjoyed collaborative and nostalgic experiences—like modifying the rules of Pop the Pig to create their own versions of play.\r\n\r\nI've also seen students engage in ways that support focus and well-being. One student regularly uses the magnetic balls to quietly organize colors as a way to stay calm and on task. Others are drawn to puzzle-based challenges like the Cluebox or Rubik's Cube, working through solutions and sharing strategies. These moments have helped students open up, collaborate more naturally, and feel more comfortable engaging both socially and academically.\r\n\r\nOverall, this project has helped balance rigor with accessibility—giving students the tools to think, create, collaborate, and recharge so they can return to challenging content with greater focus and confidence.","fullyFundedDate":1771648403361,"projectUrl":"project/positive-rewards-and-essential-classroom/10107333/","projectTitle":"Positive Rewards and Essential Classroom Items","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Hwang","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7941480"},{"teacherId":6576828,"projectId":10094133,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contributions to my students and my classroom. I am able to run off copies of my teacher key for my support staff so that they are able to meet with EL and IEP learners to provide informed support during large projects. Students are also able to access printed copies of class slides, making it easier to review key content during action period and proving especially useful for students who struggle to take notes during class. \r\n\r\nWhat my students and I appreciate most about these tools is how they make our classroom run smoother and empower autonomy and curiosity. The digital clock encourages students to better manage their class time and stay accountable and having a charging station in the classroom aids in removing students from their devices. Allowing student choice to recharge their devices during class has made them much more willing to unplug and stay present during hands-on math activities, discussions, and problem-solving tasks. \r\n\r\nStudents have had the opportunity to engage in field activities and jot their observations on the go with the provided clipboards.
