This small Book Nook, with shelves and comfortable seating, will help create a safe space for my resource students where they can improve their reading skills and increase their motivation to read. I will fill the Book Nook with materials that interest them and fuel their desire to practice reading. The more they practice, the more they will improve. The Book Nook will create a quiet space where students who struggle with attention, hyperactivity, or anxiety may step away from the noise of the classroom. Taking a moment to refocus or change their environment may help them to finish their assignments or calm their minds.
