Aloha! My students are excited to engage in the scientific process during my chemistry classes. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. We live in a rural area that is isolated from many of the opportunities that come from living in a big city. However, this also fosters a great sense of community and pride within the school and the surrounding small towns. I've never met with a group of teenagers that were more supportive and loyal to each other than the amazing students that I have here. They love to work collaboratively and are excited to connect the principles we learn in my chemistry classes with their beautiful natural environment. The physical climate and older facilities here make it difficult to maintain the supplies needed for a 21st-century science classroom. This is why I need your help in providing them safe ways to interact with real science materials.
