They got to see stories like \"Brown Bear Brown Bear, What Do You See\" in a much bigger way which was enjoyable for them because they were also able to point along with words in their free time. Older students in my class enjoyed the \"the Good Egg\" book series because it was relatable and the series included some of their favorite foods! \r\nWe will read 2-3 times a day in my class and I allow students to pick books. A lot of them are interested in the new books that include fun stories about food or new characters. Accessible art supplies transform the classroom into a space where students can express ideas beyond traditional writing and speaking, engaging multiple learning modalities, processing complex ideas visually, building confidence and motivation, and developing fine motor skills—particularly important for younger learners. Flexible seating options—such as standing desks, cushions, wobble stools, low tables, and collaborative clusters—allow students to choose positions that support focus, collaborate meaningfully, regulate their bodies and emotions, and feel agency and ownership in their learning space, since traditional rows of fixed desks don't accommodate the diverse ways students learn best. Lighting profoundly affects mood, alertness, and learning capacity, and classrooms with multiple lighting options—such as natural windows, adjustable overhead lights, and softer task lighting—reduce eye strain, regulate energy and focus, support circadian rhythms, and create emotional safety where students feel comfortable taking risks. When these three elements work together, they create a classroom where students feel seen, safe, and empowered to learn in ways that work for their brains. This inclusive approach reduces behavioral challenges, increases engagement, and helps all learners—including those with ADHD, anxiety, sensory sensitivities, and learning differences—thrive. The most exciting part for them was the element of choice; they love being able to set a goal, track their positive behavior points, and independently choose a reward that genuinely appeals to them. The miniature resin animals have instantly become a classroom phenomenon, with students proudly creating little \"habitats\" for them on their desks as they work quietly.\r\n\r\nFor donors who use tech like keyboards and trackpads every day at home or work, it might be surprising to see these mechanical elements used as learning tools in a school.
