Three years ago I surveyed my students asking what types of engineering they were most interested in learning about; aerospace engineering was the overwhelming majority. Since then I have been developing and expanding the aerospace curriculum to match current industry standards and future career options for students. \r\nBy suppling us a drone I was able to have my entire aerospace class get trained for their FAA Part 107 certifications. This certification is required for any person that is flying a drone for anything other than a hobby. While drone flying used to be considered a fun pastime it is now a rapidly growing industry as companies increasingly rely on drones in daily operations.
