Teaching through the global pandemic has made it clear that technology is an integral part of the educational process. Every educator and student knows that the speed and performance of a computer/laptop can significantly benefit (or hinder) the delivery of a lesson.
After a year of crashed Zoom meetings, frozen documents, and the constant lag of internet sites, I am in desperate need of a reliable computer. Not only will a MacBook Air enable me to enrich the hybrid model of teaching online and in-person students at the same time as I will be able to smoothly integrate videos, interactive presentation tools like PearDeck, and interactive learning sites like BookCreator, but a quality laptop like the MacBook Air will also allow my students to connect and reflect in meaningful ways as I guide our community-focused lessons with ease using the supportive tools/hardware that come standard on the laptop.
It is crucial that all educators provide all students greater access, equity, and ownership of their learning. I believe this starts with reliable resources like technology for teachers.
