They discovered that podcasting allows them to share their perspectives, interview classmates, and create thoughtful episodes that reflect their lived experiences. The creative freedom and real-world relevance of the work make the process engaging and empowering.\r\n\r\nStudents have grown increasingly comfortable with the technology and now use the equipment with confidence during podcast production. Several students who are typically quiet in class have embraced the project, finding their voice behind the microphone and taking on roles such as audio editing, organizing show segments, and managing equipment. Without a cell phone distracting them, students are now much more likely to engage in the class discussions and get work done. Many students use chromebooks and computers throughout the day and need to charge them. My students get excited about review games due to the candy incentives that I acquired through this project. Something about candy gets them really motivated to place well in the review game.
