Our title one school has been slowly cutting back on classroom resources, as our district is in a budget crisis. This has impacted teachers in a lot of ways; for example, we've run out of paper, and teachers not getting paid for covering other classes. This is bad enough, but is workable. But now it's starting to impact my students. In December our classroom was heated to about 75 degrees, and now it's heated to about 65 degrees. My students wear hoodies and coats, and are often still cold in class. We may not be freezing, but it's cold enough that focusing for an hour is a struggle. There are no accommodations I can make to help this - we just need residences. Your donation to help provide heaters and tissues can help keep us warm!
