The students were able to use the resources in order to make their Ethnic Studies Shadowbox assignment. The shadow box is a visual display that uses objects, images, patterns, colors and words to tell the story of your identity. Students used a written autoethnography to guide the creation of their display in order to bring to life the story of who they are, where they came from, and how they became THEM! \r\n\r\nThe class days that we used to create and enjoy each other's company could not have been possible without you. It was a joy to see the students interact with all of the supplies to picture their shadowboxes and create a vision of their identities. \r\n\r\nThe shadowbox and autoethnography assignments were the culmination of their Identity unit and now we are onto learning about Dominant and Resistance Narratives and how the students can use their foundational identity knowledge to see how oppression seeks to either lift them up or tear them down in the society we live in today.
