Students will be creating interactive journals this year in my class to organize their work and have a portfolio to show their growth and learning. In order to do this, we need supplies like glue, staplers, pens, and paper. Additionally, students will be more excited about reading when they have the opportunity to read novels by authors of color. With help, I can build a library with diverse authorship for students to access throughout their years in high school. One of the most important steps to developing your voice is hearing and reading the voices of others, especially those that look like you. Thank you for supporting my students!
