I teach 9th grade Exploring Computer Science at a beautifully diverse urban school in Oakland, California. This is part of the Oakland Unified 9th grade computer science initiative. ALL 9th graders will have equal exposure to computer science! They will have a chance to explore human-computer interaction, problem solving theory, website development, and programming. My hope is that this class will empower students to believe we ALL have contributions to make to the computer science community!
