Every student now has access to clear audio for audiobooks, pronunciation practice, and digital assignments. The colored paper and markers have already made a meaningful impact on my students and the way I structure our classroom activities. I especially use the colored paper for our daily warm-ups. Students receive participation points for completing their warm-up, which encourages them to arrive to class on time and be ready to participate from the moment they walk through the door. Having their warm-up on a bright, colorful sheet makes the activity feel different from a typical worksheet and gives students something they can easily recognize and get started on right away. The markers have also allowed me to incorporate more color and creativity into our math activities, giving students opportunities to organize, highlight, and visually show their mathematical thinking.\r\n\r\nMy students were excited to see the new supplies because they are used to seeing the same types of materials throughout the school year. Something as simple as getting a colorful warm-up or being able to use markers during an activity can make a lesson feel more engaging and give students another reason to participate. The decorations helped turn a simple area into a cozy and welcoming space where students feel safe and comfortable. Now, students go there when they need to calm down, take a break, or refocus. The wooden Jenga blocks have been a favorite. My students love playing with them during free time. It's not just a game- they are learning to take turns, work together, and enjoy time with their classmates. It's been so nice to see them laughing and connecting with each other. The bean bag has also been very helpful. Some of my students use it when they feel upset or overwhelmed. Having a soft place to sit helps them calm down and feel better. After a few minutes, they are usually ready to go back to learning. I've seen many moments where students choose to go to the calming corner on their own, take deep breaths, and settle themselves. These small moments mean a lot and show how helpful this space has been.
