It provides an opportunity for them to express their voices creatively, think critically about content, and collaborate with peers in meaningful ways. Through hands-on practice, they are building confidence, strengthening communication skills, and developing technical literacy that extends well beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nStudents were especially excited to learn how to use the equipment. They discovered that podcasting allows them to share their perspectives, interview classmates, and create thoughtful episodes that reflect their lived experiences. The creative freedom and real-world relevance of the work make the process engaging and empowering.\r\n\r\nStudents have grown increasingly comfortable with the technology and now use the equipment with confidence during podcast production. Their confidence has noticeably increased as they develop new skills and take ownership of the work.","fullyFundedDate":1755737716286,"projectUrl":"project/her-mic-voices-of-young-black-women/9356979/","projectTitle":"Her Mic: Voices of Young Black Women","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9924278_orig.jpg?crop=360,360,x0,y73&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741203463817","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9924278"},{"teacherId":4754978,"projectId":9487528,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations. Students are welcomed into the classroom with a bright cheerful little rug that makes the space feel more comfortable and helps prevent mud from being tracked into the classroom on rainy days. \r\n\r\nStudents then turn in their cell phones to the wooden box that I received through your donations! Without a cell phone distracting them, students are now much more likely to engage in the class discussions and get work done.
