The pencil sharpener instantly became a favorite; myself and students were excited to quickly and easily sharpen their pencils without needing help. At recess, the new balls added a whole new level of fun and energy to our playtime. The fidget bands, placed on the front legs of their chairs, were especially popular with students who have a hard time sitting still, they started using them right away to help stay focused without disrupting others.\r\n\r\nThese resources have made a big impact on both learning and play. The electric sharpener has helped save instructional time and keeps students more independent and organized during lessons. The fidget bands have been a quiet, effective tool that allows students to release energy and stay calm while working. And the rubber balls have brought more teamwork, exercise, and smiles to our recess time. Altogether, these materials have supported our classroom in both structure and fun, helping students stay engaged, active, and ready to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1699201955657,"projectUrl":"project/5th-grade-class-supplies/7992111/","projectTitle":"5th Grade Class Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Reynolds","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8920135"},{"teacherId":8920135,"projectId":7482517,"letterContent":"When my students first saw the new flexible seating options, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. They couldn't wait to try out the dlexible seating. Many of them immediately gravitated toward their favorite spots, and the room buzzed with positive energy. It was heartwarming to see how something as simple as new seating could bring so much joy and motivation into our classroom. The flexible seating gave each child a sense of choice and ownership over their learning space.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the new resources, we've used them daily to create a more engaging and focused learning environment. During a recent small-group reading project, students chose their preferred seating to help them feel comfortable and stay on task. I noticed improved collaboration, especially when students were working on writing and brainstorming together while seated in their new chairs. The flexible seating has truly transformed how we work and interact in our classroom. It's helping students stay engaged, feel valued, and take pride in their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1694436450957,"projectUrl":"project/basic-needs/7482517/","projectTitle":"Basic Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Reynolds","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8920135"},{"teacherId":8121863,"projectId":9276300,"letterContent":"Today was an exciting day in our classroom to say the least! Your donation is not just an investment in educational tools—it's a commitment to empowering these students to unlock their full potential.\r\n\r\nWith Bloxels, my students will be able to combine creativity with technical skills in a way that pushes them beyond the traditional classroom experience. The ability to design, build, and program their own video games will allow them to explore concepts such as game design, coding, storytelling, and problem-solving in a hands-on, interactive environment. This is so much more than just playing games—it's about understanding the behind-the-scenes work that goes into creating a game from scratch. It's about fostering critical thinking and digital literacy, skills that are essential in our technology-driven world.\r\n\r\nThe students in my class are special because they possess an innate curiosity and an exceptional ability to think critically and independently. They thrive when presented with challenges that stimulate their intellectual curiosity and push them to think beyond the obvious. By engaging with Bloxels, they will be able to approach complex problems from multiple angles, test their solutions, and learn from their failures in a supportive and engaging setting. This process of trial and error is critical to developing problem-solving skills and resilience—two qualities that will serve them throughout their lives.\r\n\r\nIn addition to technical skills, Bloxels will help my students develop collaboration skills as they work together on projects. These gifted learners are often so independent that they may overlook the value of teamwork. However, through the creation of shared games, they will learn how to collaborate, negotiate, and support each other's ideas. These collaborative experiences will help them develop social-emotional skills that will enrich their ability to work in teams, whether in school, the workplace, or beyond.\r\n\r\nThe real-world applications of the skills these students will gain through this project are numerous. In today's world, digital literacy is just as important as traditional literacy. The ability to create, understand, and interact with technology in meaningful ways will open doors for these students in the future, whether they pursue careers in game design, computer science, engineering, or any other field that requires technical expertise. By engaging in the Bloxels project, they will not only gain practical experience in these fields but also develop the confidence to explore and innovate in new and exciting ways.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generous contribution, this project will help these students grow into confident, forward-thinking individuals capable of tackling the challenges of tomorrow. Your support is making a profound difference in their educational journey, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to offer them this experience.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity and commitment to the future of education.","fullyFundedDate":1739386050562,"projectUrl":"project/bloxel-in-gate/8993417/","projectTitle":"Bloxel in GATE","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cooper","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5184039_orig.jpg?crop=646,646,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1611093937742","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kcoop"},{"teacherId":9116860,"projectId":8589251,"letterContent":"These new books help us explore key reading skills like making inferences, identifying theme, comparing characters' perspectives, and analyzing how authors use language to create mood or meaning.
