Through COVID students have grown comfortable with sitting in front of a device, but in the comfort of their own home and bed. This has made it difficult for students to get back into the mind frame of focusing in a classroom setting. In first grade, these young learners are still trying to play catch up. Most didn't have a normal kinder school year. A lot of basic school concepts are now having to be learned at the age of 6. We can't expect them to constantly sit still, but I would love to give them that opportunity for movement throughout direct instruction.

About my class
