One especially meaningful moment occurred during our first full ensemble rehearsal, when students worked together to play a simple folk song, Árboles de la Barranca while listening closely to one another and adjusting their timing as a group. It was powerful to see their confidence grow as they realized they were creating authentic mariachi music together.\r\n\r\nWhen the instruments first arrived, the excitement in the room was immediate. Many students had never held a guitar before, and seeing the guitarrón sparked lots of curious questions and wide smiles.
