This year I have a group of students that are very energized, sweet and excited to learn new ideas. My class consists of an 85% ESL student population. The student needs in my class also varies from students with Autism, to students receiving speech therapy as well as students with behavior goals. The students in my classroom come from a variety of backgrounds, and the diversity in the school as a whole is astounding. The school has a rate of 90% of students receiving free or reduced lunch for families in need. Needless to say the students in my class are in need of materials and opportunities that their families are not able to provide for them. If I can (with your help) provide my students with some of the opportunities that their families cannot afford then I believe that is a great gift.
