We use the stand-up whiteboards and table-top whiteboard rolls daily for math problem solving, quick checks for understanding, and small-group discussions. One favorite moment was during a recent math lesson when students worked through multi-step problems on their whiteboards, proudly holding them up to explain their thinking. The magnetic graph chart has also been a game-changer, allowing us to model data, graph results together, and make abstract concepts more visual and interactive. The states and capitals puzzles have added an exciting, tactile element to our social studies rotations, helping students reinforce geography skills through teamwork and play.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the new materials, their excitement was immediate and contagious. They couldn't wait to grab markers, unroll the whiteboards on their tables, and explore the puzzles. Several students commented on how \"real\" the classroom felt and how much they loved being able to write, erase, and try again without fear of making mistakes. That sense of freedom has boosted confidence and participation. Students are more willing to take risks, share answers, and support one another.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll continue building on these tools as we dive deeper into problem-solving, data analysis, and geography skills. Students will use the whiteboards to prepare explanations for math discussions and formative assessments, while the graph chart will support upcoming lessons on interpreting data. The state and capital puzzles will be incorporated into review stations and enrichment activities as we strengthen map skills. Because of your generosity, our students are learning in ways that are active, joyful, and meaningful. We are so grateful for the peek you've taken into our classroom and the lasting impact you've made.","fullyFundedDate":1768401748710,"projectUrl":"project/math-in-motion-hands-on-learning-for-fi/9989389/","projectTitle":"Math in Motion: Hands-On Learning for Fifth Graders","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Deveraux","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1667814_orig.png?crop=452,452,x0,y39&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1633734010511","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrsdeveraux"},{"teacherId":1667814,"projectId":8024602,"letterContent":"Since receiving the new resources, my students have been actively using them during daily lessons and small-group work. Many of the students were able to begin the next book in the series and our school librarian even ordered more copies so that more students could continue reading about the adventures of the characters as they conquered Ancient Egypt. \r\n\r\nThe other books we received were equally wonderful: our Battle of the Books groups begin meeting next month and students have come regularly to check out copies of the Battle books from our classroom, even students that are in surrounding rooms who knew I had copies have come to check them out, too!
