I am the math and technology specialist at my elementary school. I see all of the K-5 students as they rotate through my class weekly. This year I will be adding in science and engineering so that my students are able to experience all that STEM learning has to offer. Included in this is exciting coding and robotics projects! My students will work together in groups to discover the multitude of ways Botley the Coding Robot and the Cubelets work and then they will also create their own robots. Because my students don't have access to much at home, my class is their only opportunity to experience these creative and engaging ways to excel their science, technology, engineering, and mathematical thinking. Founding this project will allow my students to master logic, critical thinking, and other STEM skills in addition to using computational thinking to explore scientific challenges.
