We are living in a digital era, integrating technology into the classroom on a daily basis is absolutely vital in order to prepare our students to not only survive, but THRIVE in the world around us. By providing students with access to technology I can create well-rounded leaders and give students the opportunity to take ownership of their learning through the use of technology. I am requesting 4 iPad minis for daily use in my classroom. These materials will allow each of my students daily access to technology for math and literacy center rotations, as well as research and project-based learning at least once per week. Students will, additionally, have daily access to the iPads in a group/team setting, working collaboratively on projects, tablet-based literature circles, and educational games. Students in my class will take charge of their education by creating their own digital portfolios using the Seesaw App. They will reflect on their own work and make personal goals for success. Students will utilize the iPads to document their work and share what they are doing in the classroom directly with their parents and myself. Through the use of technology in the classroom, my learners will develop vital skills that they can take with them as they continue their educational journey. These tablets can make a huge difference in our classroom. In this digital era, it is so important that students are given the resources they need to THRIVE. Please help me bring learning to life in my classroom.
