They were excited to earn their school money to be able to shop in our classroom store every Friday. They looked forward to seeing the new sticker and eraser choices each week. \r\n I had several students working extra hard to buy our more \"expensive\" items. Positive behaviors started to increase as soon as the new items arrived. My students loved being able to request items that they really liked and were surprised to see them in the store the next week.\r\n It was also a great opportunity to teach the students how saving and spending money worked so they can carry that out into the real world. Some students were disappointed when they did not have enough money to purchase everything they wanted but were determined to have that money ready for the next week the shop was open.
