With this project being funded, we were able to receive many basics that have helped power our classroom throughout these months. I was able to label all of the student materials, which has helped students manage their own materials and belongings. We have continued with daily grammar practice so that it increases their language skills each morning using the mini half journals. We keep our space clean with the Clorox wipes. I am able to print off originals on my classroom printer so that I can make copies and I can also print off student work on nicer paper and display. My students feel so proud looking at their work on our writing wall. With this project being funded, my class was able to decorate and build their own gingerbread house on the last few days before Winter Break! They truly enjoyed engineering their own little holiday fun. We were also able to receive a glue tool that helped mount student art on to black frames. Before this tool, it would take me a long time to individually glue down and flatten each work on to black construction paper. Then we would have to wait for it to dry. Now, with these tools, I was able to complete it quickly so that the work could go up on our wall the very next day. The students loved admiring their own work as well as their classmates' work. A premium subscription has helped with school reinforcing behavior.\r\n\r\nLast minute changes in a student's transportation home has occurred many times and the Bloomz app has served its purpose many times over! Right there at my finger tips with a Bloomz Premium parent teacher app. Bloomz is an app that students can earn points on, announcements can be made to families, and parents communication can happen at your finger tips.\r\n\r\nFor example, parents have been informed about homework procedures, Back to School Night, Open House, P.E. and most recently my favorite Parent Conferences. Bloomz offers an easy online sign up! How cool is that!\r\n\r\nThis app has provided a safe way for parents to communicate without sharing a teacher's personal phone number. Also, the ability to share student pictures with parents. My many favorites, handing out sight word bingo board games and book bags that went home! Also, posting student work. For example, Our class created (Parts of a Plant art project) Flowers created out of buttons and our class took a field trip to the Getty Villa.
