When the students saw the resources, they couldn't wait to dive right in and start using the multi sensory resources to help enhance their learning. Using the sand trays allowed the students to not only learn the necessary skills to improve their phonics, but it allowed them to enhance their learning in a more hands on way. \r\n\r\nUsing multi sensory approaches in math and reading gives students a deeper understanding of concepts, develops memory, and improves focus which allows them to connect to the material.\r\n\r\nHaving my students enthusiastic about learning warms my heart and builds a confidence in them that will last a life time. Let me start by thanking you all for the amazing materials and books you generously donated to our classroom. We used the books, not only in the beginning of the year, but as our year continued on as well. The book, Our Classroom Is a Family has been used for multiple large group, small group and individualized reading.
