Students today are growing up in a digital world. Students are more eager to read when you put an iPad in front of them. I have seen reluctant readers become enthralled in a digital book and I look forward to giving my students the opportunity to become life long readers. My students attend a Title I school with many of them receiving free or reduced lunches. My students need to learn how to become better readers to help build a better future for themselves. Many of the students in my district were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Many families were displaced and some are currently living with family or even in motels.

About my class
